autogame now logs the observe games you watch

Just check the button in autogame that says log my observed games and your off. there is another button that says log to multiple files depending on game type, if you do this rather than log to autogame-games-log.pgn ( one file ) you will log your observedgames to autogame-blitz-games.pgn or autogame-bullet-games.pgn or autogame-standard-games.pgn or autogame-wild-games.pgn.

limitations

blitzin does not send the eco to autogame after the game so the eco is not saved in the pgn. ( eco is hte opening code ). there are utilitieson the web to normalize a pgn files eco.

wild games can be logged but not wild games that use setboard like fischer random. autogame does not keep track of the fen or initial postion. but games like crazyhouse or atomic will log fine.

Partly Manual install for Blitzin 2.7 users

This method will work for blitzin 2.7 users who's hard drive is C:

first you need to download and extract autogame to the blitzin 2.7 folder http://www.adam16mr.org/autogame-13-2.zip

Next you will want to click on this link and save it to your desktop http://www.adam16mr.org/blitzin27autogame-13-2

If autogame is in the blitzin 2.7 folder and your hard drive is C:, clicking on the shortcut that you just saved to your desktop ** the blitzin27autogame-13-2 file you clicked on above and did save to desktop** will launch blitzin 2.7 with autogame. note **** You Will Get a Warning When you Click on this shortcut because you downloaded it from the web. Just click on ok to use shortcut and blitzin 2.7 will start with autogame. Its simply a copy of my blitzin 2.7 shortcut which will work on anyones computer with blitzin 2.7 installed on the c drive. Tested in both Xp and Vista***

three More Points

1) if you want to use the channel chat logging. you have to creat a file to tell it what to log and save to blitzin 2.7 folder and its recommended you create a subfolder in the blitzin 2.7 folder called 'autogamelogs' so your chat logs are saved to this sub folder. please read http://www.adam16mr.org/autogame-logging.html or you probably wont get chat logging at least to work.

2) if you want rotating away messages please read point 7 in the red text listing features below

3)when you first start blitzin with autogame click the save settings check box in autogame and your settings will be saved as you make changes from login to login.

All Manual Install

unzip to the blitzin directory of the blitzin you use i.e. blitzin2.50 or blitzin2.70.

Easist way to install is to download autogame-13-2.exe ( unzip it) to the blitzin directory, 2) **** important**** make a copy of your blitzin desktop shortcut ( if you dont make a copy and you mess up the modficationh to the shortcut it wont work tell its corrected but if you do make a copy you can still log onto blitizn with the regular shortcut)

3) add /plugin=autogame-13-2.exe to the very end of the shortcuts target line seen by right clicking on the shortcut and doing properties. The very end means outside the quotes that the blitzin target is in. ****Make sure you hit apply.****

change log to autogame 12:

primes can now be played in a channel of your choice. save a file called myPrimeChannel.txt in the blitzin folder with the channel of your choice. only put the 1 or 2 or 3 digit channel number in the file. Dont hit enter. should workif you do hit enter. let me know if it doesnt. You can uncheck primes in my channel and update the channel in the file to change channels while online. then recheck primes in my channel to force autogame to reread its myPrimeChannel.txt file.

Bug where if doing primes in ptells and number was to big it would tell to 107 should be fixed.

When playing primes in ptells, previous versions of autogame did not display what was told the person who sent the tell. this version will display in the console what was said to the person, like 9 is not prime it can be factored by 3, similar to how blitzin normally displays what you typed.

The size of the number of away messages has been increased to alow for more away messages. Was previoiusly limited at 15000 characters in the away messages file. now 55000 characters. Had a limit of 499away messages ( this works with the other limit as well) now 999away messages. You can only have the maximum number of away messages if the the number of characters is less than 55000 for all of them. Whichever limit it hits first is the limit.

things autogame does -- all optional. turn on what you want

1) can nodidle you

2) can log chat ( works when not playing rated) custimizable. just log one channel if you want. for more info on autogames logging see www.adam16mr.org/autogame-logging.html

3) can play the prime game in tells, channels, and shouts. someone says prime # like tell Mike prime 1213451 it will respond if the number is prime or what it can be factored by.

4) can send alias's at gamestart and gameend. aliases can be made to execute icc commands at game start or gameend such as a greeting to the opponent. customizable at gameened to send a different alias if the game ends with a win loss or draw.

gamestart alias can be made to do your first move as white. would be illegal move if your black. be highly specific in making this alias. example pe2e4, because if its an adjourned game you want it to be illegal.

5) checkboxes to have autogame finger and/or ping your opponent at game start.

6) checkbox to make you busy and not receive tells except from people on notify during a game. will do set busy 2 at beginning of game and set busy 0 at end. This enforces a form of quietplay that still keeps channels and shouts on.

7) you can make a file that contains lines that can be made to be your away message. autogame will rotate your away message after each tell you receive creating an effect like
tel mike hi
told mike who is dancing
tell mike your dancing?
told mike who is always trying to understand what he is being told.
tel mike oh i see
told mike who is drinking pepsi

You need to save a file called autogameaway.txt ( typically in the blitzin folder ) with away strings ( the thing you want to be your away message ) hitting enter after each line including the last, autogame can be made to randomly change your away message every time you get a tell.

8) can send an iloggedon command at login that you can alias. this can set variables that dont get saved from session to session like busy. you could set busy 2 when you log in if you dont like to get tells or set busy 1 so your away messages dont get errased when you type commands.

9) checkbox to ask autogame to print in console the descriptive name of a wild when you start a wild game. handy if your new to wild 29 or wilds and cant figure out the game by the number.

10) check box to at the end of the game have autogame issue the eco command so you can see what opening you played.

11) check box to at the end of the game issue examine -1. this puts you in examine mode after a game. icc has a command to do this. its set examine 1. but your opponet is made an observer and with autogame your examined game after a game is private.

12) checkbox to make your open variable be 0 at start of game. This will prevent rematches.
