Hi, I am Mike Adams known as Mike (formerly adam16mr) on the ICC and adammr on FICS www.freechess.org. This page is intended for the internet chess community. On 1/13/99 I became a (H)elper on the ICC and I was an admin from 11/06/01 to 1/22/06. I ended my tenure as a helper on March 14, 2006. Before i joined icc in april of 1998, when i first got internet, I had been an active amateur programmer who had one major project to his name, powerout a ball and paddle game. In the game you can go through 24 grids or levels, keeping the ball in the air by bouncing it off your paddle you control with the mouse, and smashing bricks to clear the next level. Some bricks take more than one hit, some will drop down and if you catch the brick you get a power like another ball, an extendend paddle, a lazer to blast the bricks, catch, slow, etc. Its really a bit of history. I have written a chess program it plays under the handle pulsar, finger pulsar, on ICC. Pulsar is also on FICS, 'finger pulsar' there as well. Its wild counterpart is threechecksbot, finger threechecksbot. And there is strippedpulsar, finger strippedpulsar, which plays atomic. strippedpulsar and playinasec play on FICS as well.
